Membership in the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities means that a community’s elected leadership has made a commitment to actively work with residents and local advocates to make their town, city, county or state an age-friendly place to live.

The AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities advances efforts to help people live easily and comfortably in their homes and communities as they age. AARP’s presence encourages older adults to take a more active role in their communities and have their voices heard. Initiatives focus on areas such as housing, caregiving, community engagement, volunteering, social inclusion and combating isolation among older citizens.

Special Thank You to the Age-Friendly Community Committee Members:

Community Chairperson Anne Young, Town Councilor Ingrid McCurdy, Deputy Supervisor Sara Bollinger, Town Councilor Alissa Italiano, Bonnie Leff, Dr. Ynesse Abdul-Malak, Rachel McClean, Kristin Rodgers, Kristine Zingaro, Liza Rochelson, and Lonia Mwiyeriwa.
