There have been several changes due to Covid-19 in the Town of Manlius Recreation Department.  We e-mailed our brochure to you in early March since our planning was all done and we hoped to be able to offer some of those programs.  Last week we had to announce that we have decided to cancel our Learn To Swim Program.  As of today after hearing from East Syracuse Minoa School District that we would not be able to use the schools for programming, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our summer playground programs at Enders Road Elementary School and Pine Grove Middle School. All of the cancellation that we have made have been very difficult with many factors to consider. The largest being the health and safety of our participants and their families. We also have to cancel all sports camps that were scheduled to take place at ESM Schools. 

In light of all of this we are excited to roll out our “Stay and Play” programming for families to stay home and recreate! This program will consist of one week theme weeks which will include short video clips each day and a packet of supplies to supplement each week. These resources will be there, for anyone that registers, to use on their own time when it fits into their schedule with one interactive opportunity at the end of each week to share experiences and socialize with other participants. We plan to have the themed weeks listed on RecDesk and open for registration by June 5th.  Examples of our theme weeks are "Backyard Adventures" with Nature being the theme and "Wacky Olympics" with fitness and fun being the theme.  More details will follow in a flyer that we will send through this e-mail link as well as posting on Facebook.

We are committed to being here for our residents and providing resources and guidance for an enjoyable and safe summer.  We hope to be back strong next summer with the programs that we love to offer.
