Town Of Manlius Planning Development Committee
Code Enforcement Officer Tom Poitras presented information about the Planning Development Committee. The committee will serve in an advisory capacity and support growth and development that is responsive to the Town’s comprehensive plan and the community’s vision.
Public Hearing - Proposed Local Law Amending The Residential Transitional (RT) Zoning Classification To Allow And Regulate Cannabis Dispensaries
The Town Board held a public hearing on the proposed local law. Residents asked questions, spoke in favor, and in opposition of the law. The Town Board held the public hearing open until the April 24th meeting for further revisions.
Authorizing Resolution And Certificate Of Incorporation For LDC - Manlius Redevelopment Corporation
The Town Board discussed the proposed formation of the Manlius Redevelopment Corporation. The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on May 8th to gather public input on the proposal.
PILOT Agreement - Solar Array
The Town Board approved a Payment In Lieu Of Taxes Agreement For Solar Energy Systems Pursuant To Real Property Tax Law § 487 - Solar Array Located At 7869 Peck Road.
Fremont Elementary School Speed Zone Request
The Town Board adopted a resolution authorizing the police department to conduct a traffic study on Richmond Road West and authorizing the Town Clerk to send a TE-9 to consider a speed reduction and creation of a school speed zone on Richmond Road West.
Highway Department – Approval to Work in Towns Right of Way
The Town Board authorized the Highway Superintendent to sign the Highway Work Permit application for Utility to authorize Verizon to work in the Town’s right of way on Spyglass Lane.
RFP -Engineering Services
The Town Board authorized the Publication of an RFP For Engineering Services for The Hazard Mitigation Grant To Assess The Bishop Brook Watershed
Cold Storage Shed Bid
The Town Board authorized the publication of the bid notice for the construction of a cold storage shed at the Highway Department.
Bid Results – Ford Cab and Chassis
The Town Board awarded the bid for the purchase of a 2023 Ford 600 Cab and Chassis to Friendly Ford in the amount of $67,827.60.
Sustainable Manlius Meting Notice
The Town Board authorized the publication of a public notice for the 2024 Sustainable Manlius Meetings to meet at 7:00 PM at Manlius Town Hall on:

Hope for Heather Agreement
The Town Board authorized the Supervisor to sign the Hope for Heather Agreement.
US Treasury Bill Reinvestment
The Town Board authorized the Town Supervisor to invest 2,054,000 (Two Million Fifty-Four Thousand Dollars) through Wilmington Trust in a Certificate of Deposit for 4 months at a rate of 5.25 %.
Town Clerk Resignation
Town Clerk Weber will be resigning from her position at the end of April. The Town Board is currently accepting applications for any resident interested in the position until April 24th.
