 Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 06/11/2025

Tree Commission – Presentation by Davey Resource Group
Andrew Ullman gave a brief presentation regarding the Public Tree Inventory for both the Town of Manlius and the Village of Fayetteville.

Public Hearing – Kinsella Quarry Natural Resource Removal Permit
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the Board questions about the project. The Onondaga County Planning Board determined that the referral would have no significant adverse inter-community or county-wide implications and may consequently be acted on solely by the referring board. 

Public Hearing – Amendment to PUD – Highbridge Senior Apartments
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the Board questions about the project. The board mad a motion to adopt Local Law 2025-4 Amending Chapter 155-20.8 Entitled “Adopted District Plans” of the code of the Town of Manlius. 

Public Hearing – Proposed Local Law Amendment – Chapter 155 Section 20.2 of the Town Code Entitled Planned Units Development
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the Board questions about the project. The proposed amendment was sent to the Onondaga County Planning Board for their review and recommendations. The public hearing will remain open for a future meeting. 

Public Hearing – Mulberry Ln Lighting District
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the Board questions about the project. The Board adopted the resolution for increasing or improving the facilities of Lighting District #1 pursuant to Article 12 of the Town Law. 

SEQR – Muirfield Stormwater Improvements
The Board adopted the SEAR Resolution, as prepared, finding that the Muirfield Stormwater Improvement project will not result in a significant adverse environmental impact. 

SIRO & SPO Agreements – 2025-2026 School Year
The Town Board approved the SIRO and SPO Agreements with East Syracuse-Minoa Central School District and Fayetteville-Manlius Central School District for the 2025-2026 school year.

Plastic Reduction
The Board adopted the Resolution supporting the New York State Assembly and Senate to Pass a Strong Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act.

2025 Recreation Staff & 2025 Summer Bus Lease with Fayetteville Manlius Schools
The Board approved the 2025 Recreation Staff and the 2025 Summer Bus Lease with Fayetteville Manlius Schools.

Other Business
Councilor Bollinger announced that the Boat Float would be held on Saturday June 14, 2025, at 11 AM at Poolsbrook. Councilor Bollinger also announced that the Comprehensive Steering Committee would be meeting on Thursday June 12, 2025.

Councilor Gonzalez-McCurdy advised that the Age Friendly Committee held a listening session at the Senior Center and that a survey has gone out on the website for focus areas.
