 Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 09/24/2025

Open Podium
Matt Denton of Manlius discussed the draft RFP on the agenda and asked the board not to spend any more money at this time. Mr. Denton also stated that the timeline of the RFP did not foster enough time for public engagement. He also requested that the tentative budget be posted online and inquired about the longevity policy and Medicare bridge policy listed on the agenda.

Nancy Nordheim of Manlius inquired about the budget process for libraries. It was explained by the board that libraries are not part of the town budget and that they hold their own budget meetings. 

Wendy Wilson of Fayetteville discussed the property located on Highbridge Street in the Town of Manlius that is being auctioned off by Onondaga County. Ms. Wilson urged the board to look into the property to preserve its natural environment.

Rita Ennamorato of Kirkville inquired about what was being done with a vacant property at 7887 E Myers Rd. 

Malcolm Bender of Fayetteville also inquired about the property located on Highbridge Street that is being auctioned off by Onondaga County. Mr. Bending agreed that the board should look into the property to help preserve its natural environment.

Public Hearing - Fremont Meadows
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the board questions regarding the entrance to Fremont Meadows. The board did not pass the motion to authorize the Highway department to clear out the shrubs. It was decided that the Tree Commission would work with residents and the Town Highway Superintendent to come up with a plan that would be suitable for all parties involved.

Handbook - New Policies
The board approved the Longevity Pay Policy and Bridge to Medicare Policy both effective January 1, 2026.

Tree Commission - Approval of Members Craig Donnelly and Saba Siddiki
 
The board appointed Craig Donnelly and Saba Siddiki as members of the Tree Commission.

Resolution - Lease Thresholds
 
The board adopted the resolution Establishing a Materiality Threshold for Lease Reporting Under Gasb Statement No. 87.

Letters of Intent - Revize (Website) & Civic Plus Select (Meeting Management)
 
The board authorized the supervisor to sign the Website Hosting and Design Sales Agreement with Revize in the amount of $16,890.

The board authorized the supervisor to sign the contract with Civic Plus for meeting management software in the amount of $11,650.
