Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 08/13/2025
Open Podium
Craig Dudczak of Fayetteville inquired about the cost to town residents for the Pickleball Courts. He asked whether the $50,000 fee was a one-time expense or if there would be an annual fee associated with the agreement. Mr. Dudczak also expressed that he believes the community engagement on the matter of the new facilities was a positive step.
Matthew Denton of Manlius discussed the guidelines for New York State Court Facilities.
Chery Matt of Fayetteville inquired about the agenda item for the appointment of the Deputy Supervisor. Ms. Matt also mentioned the $50,000 for the pickleball courts and the inquired about the money that appeared in the Sustainable Manlius Account.
Nancy Nordheim of Manlius voiced concerns about the lack of communication between the board members.
Announcement - Appointment of Ann Oot to Deputy Supervisor
Supervisor Deer announced that he has appointed Town Manager Ann Oot as the Deputy Supervisor after receiving a letter of resignation from Councilor Bollinger.

County Legislator Mark Olson gave his annual report for 2025.

Public Hearing - Local Law Amending Article III Entitled "District Regulations" (Planned Development Provisions)
The public had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition as well as ask the Board questions about the project. The Board made a motion to enact Local Law 2025-5 Amending Article III Entitled “District Regulations” (Planned Unit Development Provisions sections 155-20.2 to 20.5 and 20.7).
T.H. Kinsella Quarry - Natural Resource Removal Permit
The Board adopted the resolution approving Natural Resource Removal Permit for T.H. Kinsella Quarry.
Letter of Intent - Financial Commitment to Village of Manlius - Pickleball Courts
The Board authorized the supervisor to sign the letter of intent for financial commitment regarding pickleball courts in the Village of Manlius for a contribution of up to $50,000.
Discussion - Intermunicipal Agreement - Village of Manlius - CODES
Thomas Poitras, Code Enforcement Officer, gave an update to the board regarding the IMA with the Village of Manlius regarding their CODES department and his responsibilities thus far. The Board decided to revisit this item in a month’s time frame.
Other Business
Councilor Nicholson advised the Board that the Board of Ethics Committee met on August 8, 2025, to discuss the disclosure policy and should be ready to bring back to the board in the near future.
Councilor Bollinger announced the Watershed Stewards was invited to the Village of Manlius meeting held on August 12, 2025, to talk about the Limestone West Creek Study. Councilor Bollinger also announced that Watershed Stewards will be hosting an informational tour of the Gramlich Bird Sanctuary on August 19, 2025, at 6:30 PM.
