 Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 05/08/2024

Open Podium:

Matthew Denton addressed the Town Board with concerns over recent decisions that have been made.

Maureen Aliani from Fremont Meadows brought concerns regarding the smell coming from the Meadowbrook Limestone Wastewater Treatment Plant. Councilor Nesci stated a letter has been sent to the county requesting WEP to attend a work session.

Town Clerk Grevelding read an email that was submitted by Craig Dudczak regarding the recent assessments that were mailed out. In his email he communicated his displeasure with the process.

EarthFest 2024:

Councilor Kreisel presented an update on EarthFest. With over 2,000 in attendance and 50 booths from across the country helped make EarthFest 2024 successful. Councilor Kreisel thanked all the volunteers and sponsors that helped make EarthFest 2024 successful.

Town of Manlius Police – Cadet Program:

Officer Spinelli, along with 3 Cadet Officers gave a presentation on the Cadet program that is offered through the Town of Manlius Police Department.

Public Hearing – Local Development Corporation (LDC):

Supervisor Deer gave a presentation on the Local Development Corporation. The Town Board held a public hearing on the proposed LDC. Residents asked questions, spoke in favor, and in opposition of the development of a Local Development Corporation. The Town Board closed the public hearing. 

Public Hearing Date – Proposed Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) Local Law

The Town Board set a date of June 12, 2024, at 6:35 PM to discuss the proposed local law for Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU).
