Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 05/22/2024
Open Podium:
Craig Dudczak spoke regarding the LDC and the vagueness of accountability. Mr. Dudczak also commented on the Quarry Commission and how it can be a source for data collection. Lastly, Mr. Dudczak asked the board to evaluate the Assessment Policy regarding the annual full assessments.
Town Clerk Grevelding read an online comment submitted by Daniela Chobor communicating her concern over the assessment process and her desire for transparency and accountability in the assessment procedure. Ms. Chobor submitted a petition of 307 signatures in support of her comment.
Enders Road Sidewalk District:
Monica Browning and Elaine Denton presented their Enders Road Sidewalk initiative. Ms. Browning and Ms. Denton have obtained 61% of signatures in the proposed district. The board agreed to set up a meeting with the Town Engineer to begin the next step of Map and Planning.
Pride Flag Raising Ceremony:
Councilor Bollinger announced that the annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony would be held on May 31, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Town Hall.
Proposed Zone Change – 7155 Taylor Rd, East Syracuse (Tax Map #073.-02-14.2):
The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on June 12, 2024, at 6:35 PM to consider proposed zone change for 7155 Taylor Rd, East Syracuse from Commercial District B (CB) to One Family Residential (R3).
Proposed Zone Change – Seven Pines – 8104 Cazenovia Rd, Manlius (Tax Map #112.-02-02.7):
The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on June 12, 2024, at 6:35 PM to consider proposed zone change for Seven Pines from Residential Agriculture (RA) to Residential Multiple Use (RM).
Skyridge Water District:
The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on June 26, 2024, at 6:35 PM to discuss the Skyridge Water District Petition for Dissolution of Extension 1.
Purchase Agreement with Twin Shores LLC
The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on June 26, 2024 at 6:35 PM regarding the purchase agreement with Twin Shores Property LLC for the parcels at 5424 and 5430 Burdick St North in the Town of Manlius.
