Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 10/23/2024
Open Podium
Rob Oley of Manlius inquired about how much was being budgeted for the Capital Reserves Fund for the 2025 Budget. Supervisor Deer informed Mr. Oley that it has not been decided and the board was still working on finalizing the budget.
Mary Teske of Fayetteville inquired about ARPA funds that were being allocated for purchases in 2025. Supervisor Deer advised that ARPA funds needed to be allocated by the end of 2024.
Twin Ponds - Presentation
Charlie Breuer and Michael N’Dolo shared an analysis of the Economic and Fiscal Impacts of Twin Ponds.

2025 Budget
Supervisor Deer gave an update on the budget and reminded everyone that the public hearing for the 2025 Budget will be at the board meeting to be held on November 6, 2024.
Town Highway Department Updates
Councilor Bollinger gave a presentation with the updates that have and continue to take place at the Town Highway Department.
Highway Garage Updates
Town Highway Department – Requests for Proposals
The Town is accepting Request for Proposals for the renovations and additions. Sealed proposals should be submitted to the Town Clerk no later than November 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM.
Town Highway Department – Letters of Intent
The Board approved two letters of intent to for the purchase of two new and unused 2025 F350 XLT pickups in the about of $60,206.80 each for a total of $120,416.60 from Friend Ford of Geneva to be funded from the 2025 Budget.
EV Charging Stations
The Board authorized the Supervisor to sign the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Make-Ready Program Participant Terms and Conditions with National Grid for the EV Charging Stations in Tops Plaza.
Kirkville Fire District – 2025 Budget
The Board accepted the Kirkville Fire District’s 2025 Budget in the amount of $251,170.00.
Recreation - Wicked Woods
Councilor Italiano announced that Wicked Woods was a successful event with $253, and 1,460 pounds of food were donated. These donations equal 1,976 meals for the CNY Community.
Town of Manlius Police Department - Chief of Police Appointment
The Board appointed Jason Cassalia as the permanent Chief of Police under the current 2024 MOU with an annual salary of $150,000.00
