 Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 11/20/2024

Open Podium –

Craig Dudczak of Fayetteville expressed his observations with the budget process. Mr. Dudczak also expressed the lack of rationale behind the increase.

Harris Lindenfeld of Manlius spoke regarding a letter to the editor that was published in the Eagle Bulletin regarding the budget.

Public Hearing – Zone Change – 7155 Taylor Rd, East Syracuse (Tax Map #073.-02-14.2)
A public hearing was held regarding the zone change application submitted for 7155 Taylor Rd, East Syracuse (Tax Map #073.-02-14.2). Residents had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposed to the request. The Board approved the zone change from Commercial Business (CB) to Restricted Agricultural District (RA).

2025 Budget 
Supervisor Deer briefly went over the budget and areas where cuts were made. The Board adopted the 2025 Budget.

Update – 6602 Fremont Rd (Tax Map #045.-02-02.0)
Code Enforcement Officer Tom Poitras updated the Board regarding the demolition of 6602 Fremont Rd. He advised the Board that he received notifications from the DEC that there are no further actions required.

Town of Manlius Police Department – Sale of Surplus Vehicles
The Board approved to declare one former patrol vehicle and one plow truck as surplus to be auctioned via the County Auction through GovDeals.

Davis Ulmer
The Board authorized the contract with Davis Ulmer Fire Protection for the inspection services at Town Hall for a 3-year term in the amount of $1,560.00 per year.

Skyridge Water District Infrastructure Improvements
The Board authorized Miller Engineers to prepare Bid Documents for the Skyridge Water District Infrastructure Improvements.

Board of Assessments
The Board appointed Fred Lutzen to the Board of Assessments Review for a 3-year term.
