NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Town Law §175 (1) that an election will be held on December 10, 2024 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Kirkville Fire District located at 6225 Kirkville Road North Kirkville, NY 13082, for the purpose of electing one fire district commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2030. Candidates for Fire District Commissioner must file their names with the Secretary of the Fire District no later than twenty (20) days before the election, November 20, 2024. Submissions may be sent via mail or via email to kfd_secretary@outlook.com.
All voters registered with the Onondaga County Board of Elections on or before November 17, 2024 who have resided in the fire district for a period of thirty (30) days immediately preceding the election shall be eligible to vote.
The Kirkville Fire District will also be appointing a new Treasurer for a one-year term commencing January 1, 2025. Any interested residents should contact the Secretary of the Fire District.
