Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 02/12/2025
Open Podium
Craig Dudczak of Fayetteville took a moment to thank the Town Highway Superintendent Rob Cushing and his staff for all their hard work with snow removal. Mr. Dudczak also made a recommendation for another member for the Quarry Committee.
Public Hearing – T.H. Kinsella – Natural Resource Removal Permit Renewal – Continued from January 22, 2025
The Board held a public hearing for the consideration of the Natural Resource Permit Renewal for T.H. Kinsella. Residents had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition to the renewal. The Board closed the public hearing.
Zone Change Application – T.H. Kinsella
The Town Board referred the application to the Town Planning Board and the Onondaga County Planning Board. A public hearing date was set for March 26, 2025.
Public Hearing – Proposed Sidewalk District – Enders Rd
The Board held a public hearing for the consideration of creating a sidewalk district for Enders Rd. Residents had the opportunity to speak in favor or opposition to the proposed sidewalk district. LaBella representatives gave a brief presentation of the proposed district. This public hearing was closed. A second public hearing is scheduled for March 12, 2025.
Request for Bids – On-call Utility Drainage and Emergency Services
The Board authorized the publication of the bid notice for On-call Utility Drainage, and Emergency Services. The Town Clerk will be accepting sealed bids until March 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Information on the Bids can be found on the Town’s website under Public Notices.
Resolution – Emergency Road Salt Purchase
The Board adopted a resolution granting the Town Highway Superintendent to purchase road salt on an emergency basis.
Justice Court Audits
The Board accepted the annual procedures review of the Justice Court for the years 2019-2023 completed by F.J. Pompo and Company, PC as required by the Uniform Justice Court Act.
Board of Ethics Committee – Update
Councilor Nicholson advised that the committee has meet and had four items listed for consideration under Town of Manlius Code 14.5(B)(1) and NYS General Municipal Law Article 18(2).
Other Business
Deputy Supervisor Bollinger announced that the Town was awarded a grant for a Community Zoning Project.
Councilor Gonzalez-McCurdy announced that there will be a meeting regarding the Age-Friendly Community on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 4:00 PM
